The Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has issued a public notice stating that the on-going tunnel construction zone in the Kohima Bypass -2 lane road project is in active subsidence zone. With the ongoing soil investigation and geotechnical analysis by a safety auditor, the DC has advised citizens to exercise caution.

The public has been requested to refrain from undertaking any construction activity in and around the tunnel construction zone till soil/geological safety assessment report is finalized by the safety auditor.
