Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President (JKPCC), Vikar Rasool Wani on Monday called the BJP the “monster of hate and discrimination” and that the only way the people of J&K can fight it was the Indian National Congress, “the only party which has not, and which will never cozy with BJP.”

Speaking at the Congress workers convention in Banihal, J&K, Wani said, “BJP ever since getting access to power in Delhi had been on a rampage of dispossessing and disempowering common people of Jammu and Kashmir. It’s not about a particular community or a sect, they have gone berserk against all of us collectively. We have been used as political cannon fodders by BJP all across the country”

“Parties who have allied with the BJP cannot be trusted by the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, he added.

Wani alleged that Jammu has witnessed huge setbacks due to the revocation of statehood by the BJP government including seizing of jobs, land, and the suppression of political and civil rights.

The JKPCC chief criticised the Delhi Government for unchecked price rise and record unemployment. He stated that the government is delaying the assembly polls because BJP knows that people of all sections had turned against the party.
