International Trade Centre Football Club (ITC FC) lifted the fifth edition of Indo-Myanmar Border Football Trophy by beating The Last Tattooed Football Club 5-2 in the final match at Longwa Village, Mon district. ITC FC walked away with the Rs 60,000 prize, Trophy and Citation, while the Runner-Up Team received a prize money of Rs 30,000 Trophy and Citation.
The Indo-Myanmar Border Football Trophy is organised by International Trade Centre Football Club (ITC FC), Longwa with the aim to foster social and cultural relations along the international border region through sports. The fifth edition took place at Longwa Village from 6th to 13th January 2024 under the theme ‘Peace and Tranquillity Through Sports’.

In a press release, ITC FC President Ganhi Shakam and General Secretary Manom Taiwangshu declares proudly that the Tournament has been successful in forging cordial relations with people from across the border.
ITC FC informed that on 6th January 2024, Laitoh Wangsha, Zila Parishad Member (ZPM), 06 Anchal Block, Pongchau under Longding District of Arunachal Pradesh graced the inaugural program as the Special Guest. Wangsha, in his speech, emphasized on the role of sports in the field of promoting unity among people belonging to different cultures.
The closing program was graced by Jamjai Angh, President of Wayen Citizen as the Guest of Honour, who in his speech advised the participants to always nurture and to use their talent with outmost sportsmanship spirit.
A total of eight teams participated in the tournament, including three teams from Pongchau, Arunachal Pradesh.
For the Individual Awards, Manto of ITC FC was awarded the Player of the Tournament while Khampei of The Last Tattooed FC, Karan of Brotherhood FC and Hamgang of ITC FC were awarded the Highest Goal Scorer Award, Best Defender Award and Best Goal Keeper Award respectively.
The organisers, ITC FC Longwa, expressed sincere appreciation to the tournament prize sponsor Konngam Konyak, Advisor of Art & Culture, Treasuries & Accounts, Government of Nagaland and also other groups, individuals and well-wishers who immensely contributed towards the grand success of Indo-Myanmar Border Football Trophy 2024.
