In the wake of a devastating fire outbreak at the MMC Shopping Complex in Mokokchung, Nagaland, the Municipal Council has issued a directive ordering the closure of the affected building block and vegetable stalls until further notice.
Following the initial notice dated 4th February 2024, which highlighted the extensive damage caused by the fire, the authorities have taken decisive action prioritizing the safety of both shopkeepers and customers.

The recent notice, dated 5th February 2024, emphasized the gravity of the situation, mandating the immediate closure of the entire building block impacted by the fire, inclusive of the vegetable stalls.
The notice, reiterated by Chumlamo Humtsoe, ADC & Administrator of the Mokokchung Municipal Council, emphasizes strict compliance by all stakeholders.
