The Eastern Nagaland Women’s Organization (ENWO) and the Eastern Naga students Federation (ENSF) has abstained from the consultative meeting convened by the Eastern Nagaland Legislature’s Union (ENLU) today here at Japfü Hotel, Kohima. The meeting was only attended by Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers’ Assaociation (ENGOA).
The reason for abstaining from the consultative meeting is not yet clear.
Sources informed that the MHA have submitted a draft to the State government which was handed to ENLU. ENLU had convened today’s consultative meeting to particularly discuss on the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) draft for the proposed Frontier Naga Territory. The said draft have not been shared with ENPO till date however, in today’s meeting the ENLU have entrusted ENGOA to handover the draft papers to ENPO.
Resolutions were also adopted during the meeting wherein, ENLU and ENGOA resolved to approach the Chief Minister seeking for more time to deliberate on the MHA draft given by the State government to ENLU. It also resolved to seek clarification from the ENPO President speech delivered at Parade ground, Tuensang on February 9.

As part of today’s resolution, the Eastern Nagaland Gazetted Officers’ Association has convened an emergency consultative meeting at Dimapur with ENPO, Talk Team, ENLU, ENWO, ENSF and all the eight apex Tribal bodies.
Earlier, Minister P.Paiwang Konyak addressed the meeting, and supplementary notes was shared by Minister CL John. The meeting was chaired by MLA Lima Onen Chang.
