A rousing welcome was given to BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda when he arrived at Chümoukedima after his Kohima visit. Hundreds of party supporters lined up in Chümoukedima waving flags, as Nadda led an auto rickshaw rally. Standing at the back of one of the many vehicles decorated with Saffron party colours, Nadda waved at the party followers braving the heat. He was joined on the auto rickshaws by BJP MLAs and party workers.

The rally ended at Niathu resort, Chümoukedima, where Nadda addressed a group of intellectuals and professionals.

The final agenda of his two-day visit was meeting with the core committee of the BJP Nagaland where the upcoming legislative assembly elections was the prime topic of discussion.

Soon after the meeting Nadda and his entourage left Nagaland.
