DC Kohima issues traffic management order

The Kohima Deputy Commissioner Kumar Ramnikant has issued an order informing the public regarding designated parking areas for two-wheeler taxis and bus stops/pickup/drop-offs for city buses. The order aims to enhance public safety and improve traffic management within the city, informed the DIPR.

The following designated areas have been notified for strict compliance:

Two-Wheeler Taxi Parking: High School Junction parking is shifted to the designated area outside L-Khel Building, Peraciezie.

City Bus Stops/Pickup/Drop-offs: Secretariat-bound buses: Outside Vishal Mart (limited to 2 buses at a time).

NPSC office-bound buses: Before reaching the Nagaland Civil Secretariat main entrance (limited to 1 bus at a time).

City Bus Parking near NPSC Office.

Town-bound buses: Opposite Nagaland Civil Secretariat Gate No.2 (limited to 2 buses at a time). Town-bound buses: Outside Axis Bank ATM opposite Vishal Mart (limited to 3 buses at a time).

The order emphasizes that parking on both sides of the road is strictly prohibited. City buses and two-wheeler taxis has been directed to adhere to the designated stops/parking areas only. Violators will face penalties in accordance with the provisions of the law.
