To ensure safety, the Commissioner of Police Dimapur Kevithuto Sophie, IPS has today issued a notice prohibiting the use of unauthorized and unlicensed firearms during the Sekrenyi festival on February 24 in Dimapur at the State Stadium.

The Sekrenyi festival cum mini hornbill festival is one of the major festivals of the Angami community. Sophie notified all concerned that “no unauthorized/unlicensed firearms of any type will be allowed to be brought near the vicinity of the place of function, for safety concern of all the participants and civil residents around the State Stadium, Dimapur.”
