The Khiamniungan Students’ Union (KSU) today appealed all the government employees posted in Noklak to remain in their place of posting and deliver their services to the public.

In a press release issued by its media cell, the KSU mentioned that it initiated a cordial visit to various governmental establishments under Noklak district during the month of February 2024.

“During the visit, the union had probed various departments where many of the HODs/ officers and staffs are not executing their duties diligently or offer their services to the satisfaction of the general public,” highlighted the KSU.

The Union drew attention to the various discrepancies detected during their visit including shortage of staff and failure to present the basic functionings of the institution. “Although the district is far flung from the mainstream of development and less Govt. establishments, the basic amenities for the general mass must be provided in time,” asserted the KSU.

Taking cognizance of the poor performance of the officers, the KSU has appealed all HODs/Officers and Staffs of any establishment under Noklak District to be in their designated postings by the first week of March 2024. If the trend of absenteeism continued and employees fail to comply, the Union stated that the concerned officer or staff shall be answerable.

“The office does not intend to resort, rather would consider your courtesies to develop Noklak in par with the rest of the other districts in the state with collective responsibilities,” appealed the KSU.
