The District Level Neighbourhood Youth Parliament jointly organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Longleng & Longleng District Administration was held on March 2, informed the DIPR.

The event was held at CMTC Hall Longleng with EAC, Vitolu as the Special Guest.

Special Guest Vitolu, EAC Longleng, in his speech spoke on discipline, punctuality and encouraged the youths to take part in every platform.

Speaking on the topic ‘New India, New initiative’ Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P, EAC Longleng encouraged the youth club about the new methods of using internet and to be active in any social activities.

Earlier, the keynote address was delivered by Kisor Barman, DYO, NYK Longleng where he welcomed all the guest and participants and briefed the gathering on how to register on Mybharat portal.

Sports materials were distributed to 14 Youth clubs under Longleng district. EVM demonstration was also given by Election Department Longleng. EVM demonstration on how to used VVPAT machine and voting demo was done by all the 65 youth club participated in the program.

The vote of thanks was pronounced by Pongchei B. Phom, NYV and the program was chaired by Mongnyei C. Phom, NYV.
