In connection with the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll to Municipal and Town Councils in the state, the State Election Commission, Nagaland conducted a one day training for EROs and AEROs on March 4 at DPDB Hall, DC’s Office, Kohima, informed DIPR.

At the training, State Election Commissioner Nagaland, T. John Longkumer, IPS (Rtd) expressed his pleasure at being able to work with the officers who are the future leaders of the State Government. He said that Special Summary Revision becomes a must as it has been long overdue due to the non-conduct of ULB elections.

The Commissioner also expressed his views that lady candidates are ensured to participate in the ULB elections and urged the officers to co-operate for the successful process of the Special Summary Revision of Electoral Roll for Municipal and Town Councils and for the smooth conduct of ULB elections.

The resource person for the training was Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, CEO’s Office, Kohima, Nagaland, Toshimeren Aier and the program was chaired by the Under Secretary, State Election Commission, Nagaland, Tsutsowe Kupa.
