The Ladies Unit, Naga Army, celebrated 25 Years of its raising day under the theme “Sisters in Arms: Unveiling the Legacy” on March 26 at Ladies Unit Compound, General Headquarters, Naga Army.
A press release issued by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) that the Kedallo Tongmeth Wangnao graced the function as the Chief Guest. He addressed the gathering with complimentary remarks that the women are sincere and dedicated in their service.

Commanding Officer, Ladies Unit, Naga Army Lieut. Col. Leishimi Muinao, MSM, in her welcome address said, “As we celebrate this milestone of the Ladies Unit Silver Jubilee on this day 26th March, 2024, let us reflect on the sacrifices made, the challenges overcome, and the victories achieved. Because it was through the sacrifices of our esteemed pioneers and seniors that we get this opportunity to gather here with jubilant hearts”.
The audience applauded the pioneers of Ladies Unit of Naga Army with a standing ovation. The Ladies Unit of Naga Army came into existence in the year 1999.
