The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) Mokokchung Region Inauguration and Installation of Treasurer Office of 23 Impur AC was held in Kobulong, Mokokchung today at Suponglemba’s Residence. The Treasurer’s Office was graced by the presence of T.N. Mannen, IAS (Retd), Hon’ble MLA & Advisor, Law & Justice, Land Revenue, Government of Nagaland.
In his address, T.N. Mannen emphasized the NDPP party’s theme “Facta Non Verba,” which translates to “Deeds, not words” in English, emphasizing the importance of actions over mere speech or promises. Regardless of the number of people, unity always wins, said Mannen.
Speaking about his constituency, 23 Impur AC, and his Asetkong Range people, the Advisor urged them to learn from the past, forgive each other, and not harbor enmity. He encouraged the six villages of the Asetkong range to unite under the banner of the 23 Impur Constituency and work towards common goals.
Regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha election, Mannen informed that for the first time, 60 MLAs of the State have sponsored the candidate, Dr. Chumben Murry, who is their ruling NDPP candidate. He urged the 23 Impur AC to perform better in the election.
During the inauguration, Mannen updated on his initiative of starting a Think Tank group for the people of Asetkong Range, consisting of qualified individuals who understand the villages’ needs and difficulties, aiming to address public needs and not for political gains.
Regarding present-day sentiments, he stated, “We Nagas possess tribalistic feelings,” which he described as negative for fostering good relationships.

He commended the term ”Twisting the facts,” speaking about people’s comments and misconception about NDPP as BJP, terming it as unnecessary propaganda news. He clarified that NDPP is a regional party, which is the ruling party in the state. However, since BJP is the ruling party at the central level, we have to cooperate and work together for development.
The acceptance speech was delivered by Supolemba, Treasurer of the 23 Impur A.C. Imsu Kichu, President of Agri & Allied Org. NDPP Mkg Region, delivered a speech on behalf of the Frontal Organisations. Short speeches were delivered by Lanu Imchen, CEC Member of 23 Impur A.C., I. Shilu Imchen, Vice President of NDPP Mkg Region, and Tali Pongener, President of Agri & Allied Org. NDPP Central.
The flag hoisting was conducted by Mayangnungba, President of NDPP Mokokchung Region, while the dedicatory prayer was delivered by O Alang, Pastor of KABA.
Mangyangnenba, Vice President of 23 Impur A.C., chaired the program, and Imnetuba, Advisor of 23 Impur A.C., pronounced the invocation. L. Moa Lemtur, President of 23 Impur A.C., delivered the welcome address, and L. Temjen Ao, Vice President of NDPP Mkg Region, gave the vote of thanks.
