Fuel retail outlets in Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima districts will remain closed from 26th April 2024 in solidarity with the indefinite shutter down of all shops and business establishments called by the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).

On Wednesday, the Petroleum Dealers’ Association of Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima (PDADNC) reaffirmed its “full support” to the indefinite shutter-down “to protest the unabated multiple taxation, intimidation, summons, and harassment meted out to the business community by the various Naga Political groups.”

“All this are taking place right under the nose of the administration and police but no exemplary action has taken to stop the menace”, the Association’s President Onen Aier and General Secretary Pretso Therie alleged in the press release. They also urged the State Government “to rein in the situation to avoid further complication”.

Further, PDADNC have requested all the retail outlets of different petroleum companies from Dimapur, Niuland and Chümoukedima to cooperate with the indefinite shutter down called by DCCI. It also appealed the public to bear with the inconveniences.
