The Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has cautioned Government schools charging excess fee today in a notification.

The department stated that it has been brought to the notice of the Department that few Government Schools have been charging fee in excess of that notified by the Department vide Notification of even number dated 17th June 2022 with the approval of the Government vide letter No. DSE/HSS/FEES/14-19/2015 dated 9th June 2022 and reiterated vide Notification of even number dated 25th January 2024.

Further, attention of all concerned has been brought to Note nos. 3 & 4 mentioned in the Revised Fee Structure for Government Schools dated 17th June 2022 reproduced below.

• Schools providing Uniforms, T. Shirts, Neck Tie, Belt etc. shall get the rates approved by the respective School Management and Development Committees (SMDCs).
• NBSE fee shall be modified in accordance with the notifications being issued by the Board from time to time.

All concerned have been cautioned to strictly adhere to the Fee Structure notified by the Department.
