The Additional Deputy Commissioner Phek, Ruopfukuotuo Noudi, NCS has notified that in consequent upon the recent outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF) in Phek district, the under mentioned areas have been notified as infected Zones and Surveillance Zone.

1. Infected Zone : Old Town Khel, Phek Village and 1 KM radius.

2. Surveillance Zone : Chosaba Village, Phek Basa, Phek Town, Lozaphuhu and Losami (10 KM radius from Infected Zone)

He further directed that the following restrictions are to be strictly adhered in the aforementioned locations with immediate effect until further order:

1. Ban on slaughter of Pigs.

2. Ban on import and export of Pigs and Piglets.

3. Ban on transport of Pigs and Pork
