Nagaland Police informs vehicle owners to register vehicles to avoid penalties

Kohima: Vehicle owners asked to carry certificate/receipt/ document issued by respective RTO in case of U/R or A/F

The Nagaland Police has informed all owners of vehicles using U/R or A/F number plates to register their vehicles from the respective Regional Transport Offices to avoid inconvenience or legal/statutory fines.

In a Public Information issued on Monday, the Police stated that vehicle owners should carry certificate/receipt/ document issued by respective RTO in case of U/R or A/F.

Nagaland Police also informed that it would initiate legal action against defaulters because besides violation of Motor Vehicle Act, “such vehicles are likely to be used to commit crimes”.
