Nagaland Institute of Language Studies and Research (NILSR) hosts its first Charcuterie Board Competition for its Montessori teacher trainees. The institute takes a leap and introduces food charcuterie into the curriculum for their Montessori training programme.
Alongside academic achievement which is still a priority within the school, NILSR also aims to deliver teachers of the highest academic standard, to nurture children that are knowledgeable, conversant and well-informed in a wide range of subject areas- from clay moulding, phonetics, to food charcuterie!

“In order to equip young children with the skills they need in the wider world beyond school, creativity, installing skilled teachers is paramount,” remarked Theyievino Whiso, its Academic Director.
At Montessori NILSR, they believe it is through the acquisition and application of skills that children gain confidence, and forge bonds with others. Under the care and leadership of trained teachers, children will have the freedom to pursue interests that may grow into hobbies and life skills.
With activities like setting up a food charcuterie board, one can see how opportunities are endless at MONTESSORI NILSR, and the teacher trainees make the most of them all.
