Three Days Sound System Management Workshop initiated by TaFMA at Noklak

Noklak: 34 trainees to be trained by TaFMA Sound Engineers

A three-day Sound System Management Workshop was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Arikumba, NCS, on Monday at Noklak Town Baptist Church. This Workshop is initiated by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA) Nagaland in collaboration with TaFMA District Partner, Noklak.

In his address, DC Arikumba appreciated TaFMA for taking such initiatives and urged the trainees to pursue the training with full sincerity and dedication and learn the importance of having quality sound system.  This is one of the most necessary trainings, he stated, adding that sound system is essential part in all functions and meetings.

Altogether, 34 trainees will be participating in the Workshop under the guidance of resource persons – Marcus Geisuo Sound Engineer, TaFMA, and Merensuba, Asst. Sound Engineer, TaFMA.

Geisuo expressed his gratefulness for the opportunity to come the district for imparting skills. He said that the three days training will not only be about talking but also about listening to what everyone has to share.

Speaking about the purpose of joining the Sound System Management Workshop, trainee Pushou Chuba said that he has passion for producing music and that he joined the training to improve his workflow in music and video production.

Running a home studio called Frolic Home Studio, another trainee, Tupong, said that his purpose of joining the training was to learn more on the mixing of sound. Having a life long passion for music, Tupong said that he was looking forward to learn more precisely on music and sound management.

Suko, who often takes active part in handling the church’s sound system said that he joined the training to improve his skills. Stating that he aims to start a rental service in the near future and create opportunities out of it, Suko said that this Workshop is a great opportunity and he was fortunate to be participating in it given that the fee was affordable.

The program was chaired by Pongkhao, TaFMA, District Partner Noklak, the invocation was delivered by A. Penglang, Pastor, Noklak Town Baptist Church, a special number was presented by Tupong, Proprieter, Frolic Home Studio, Noklak and the benediction was pronounced by Thengio, Pastor, Komking.
