MGM College commemorates World Blood Donor Day

On June 14, MGM College Red Ribbon Club organized a brief program to commemorate World Blood Donor Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation and to express gratitude to the donors for their life-saving contributions.

Ahikali, the Nodal Officer, delivered an insightful speech highlighting the crucial role of blood donation in saving lives. She discussed the essential prerequisites for donating blood and outlined several health benefits, including a reduced risk of heart attacks, balanced iron levels, and calorie burning.

The Nodal officer inspired the audience by emphasizing how blood donors can influence others and be lifesavers in emergencies, stating, “When you donate blood once, you save three lives.”

The program was chaired by Lopilo, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Fuchumo Yanthan, expressing deep appreciation to all participants and supporters of the blood donation cause.

The event successfully highlighted the significance of blood donation and encouraged more individuals to participate in this noble act, reinforcing the spirit of community and compassion.
