Nagaland Olympic Association hosts Olympic Day Run 2024

The Nagaland Olympic Association organised the Olympic Day Run 2024 under the theme, “Let’s Move & Celebrate,” at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima which witnessed eager participation from 229 enthusiastic young athletes aged 6 to 12 years informed NOA Media Team.

The Olympic Day Run aimed to promote the Olympic values of friendship, excellence and respect, while encouraging physical activity and healthy living. The event served as a testament to NOA’s unwavering commitment to promote sports and fitness. The event witnessed keen enthusiasm, dedication and remarkable sportsmanship from all the participants.

Young athletes showcased their talents in different categories based on age groups in the 50 meters, 80 meters and 100 meters races. The results are as follow

The inspiring turnout reflects the growing enthusiasm and passion for sports in Nagaland. The Nagaland Olympic Association is thrilled to witness such active participation from the community. The event brought together athletes, families and sports enthusiasts fostering a sense of camaraderie and celebration.

“This year, the participants were not only smarter but also more active, demonstrating that our young athletes are beginning to adapt to the rigours and joys of sports. It is heartening to see their dedication and enthusiasm, which bode well for the future of sports in Nagaland,” stated   Abu Metha, Secretary General of Nagaland Olympic Association.
