Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda, and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio have extended their greetings to doctors on the occasion of National Doctors’ Day 2024.
National is celebrated on 1st July, the birth and death anniversary of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, a famous physician and renowned educationist as well as a freedom fighter, to recognise and appreciate the significant roles and responsibilities of doctors.
PM Modi in his message assured that the Government was fully committed to improve the healthcare infrastructure in India and also ensure that doctors get their deserved respect.
“Greetings on #DoctorsDay. This is a day to honour the incredible dedication and compassion of our healthcare heroes. They can navigate the most challenging complexities with remarkable skill. Our Government is fully committed to improving the health infrastructure in India and ensuring doctors get the widespread respect they deserve”, Modi posted on X.
Meanwhile JP Nadda stated that it would not be wrong to say that doctors are truly a reincarnation of God given that doctors have emerged as life saviors on countless occasions. “The world has witnessed the caliber and excellence of Indian doctors and healthcare professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic. I extend my best wishes to all the doctors, who continue to inspire us with their expertise and humanitarian spirit”, the Union Minister posted on X.
The Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio, in his post expressed gratitude to doctors “for providing care, at all stages of life, and for your hard work and commitment to your patients’ well-being.” Thank you for your dedicated service on the frontline, taking care of communities, he added.
