Eight days after intense search operations, the body of Rendemo Odyuo, a 25-year-old student who went missing after being washed away at Dzüvürü Stream on June 27 was recovered today from Doyang Dam by Pangti fishermen.

L Jonjibemo Odyuo, Nodal Officer of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), confirmed that the body was retrieved at 1 PM from the Tzuza Eryu area (Phodong Resort) at Doyang Dam. The Pangti fishermen, who were engaged in fishing activities, discovered the body and promptly informed the authorities.

Odyuo also informed that the Police personnel have completed all necessary legal formalities and have handed over the deceased to the family. Final rites are scheduled to be conducted in the village.
