The Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services is organising a four-day training for women on Improved Piggery and Poultry Farming at Chozuba, Phek district, DIPR has informed.

The programme is sponsored by the National Commission for Women, New Delhi.

At the commencement programme held on Wednesday, the keynote address was delivered by Dr. Pusazono Chusi, Deputy Director, Assistant Sector Officer, Women Welfare Development, AH&VS, Nagaland, while Dr. Rosou Pohena, VAS, Pfutsero spoke on Women Empowerment through improved Piggery and Poultry Farming.

Dr. Esther Krocha, Deputy Chief Veterinary Officer and i/c of CVO Phek chaired the programme, while Dr. Khrusato Keyho, Farm Manager, CBF Phek delivered the vote of thanks.
