Zunheboto District Task Force constituted at emergency monsoon preparedness meeting

Zunheboto: DC, DDMA assess current situation at landslide affected Alahuto colony

Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, Zunheboto District Disaster Management Authority, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, convened an emergency monsoon preparedness meeting at the DC’s Conference Hall, Zunheboto on 10th July 2024.

The Zunheboto District Task Force was constituted during the meeting, DIPR informed. The Task Force included all concerned departments as members, headed by EAC Hq, and the members were assigned to oversee every untoward situation in and around the district.

During the meeting, the line departments were asked to carry out their works sincerely without any lapses, during of emergencies. The house further agreed to request NSDMA to send technical team to assess the situation for prompt action in order to avoid loss of lives and properties.

The Deputy Commissioner along with the line departments of DDMA visited and verified the current situation at Alahuto Colony in Zunheboto Town where, major eroding and sinking of soil is being reported recently, threatening of major landslide in the area.
