A mass social work was held at Tuensang Town today ahead of the Dr T Ao Trophy 2024 and also as part of the ‘Swachhata hi Seva’ fortnight to be observed from 14th September to 1st October 2024. All the able bodied citizens of the town actively participated in the event.
During the mass social work respective ward authorities had identified priority areas within their own jurisdiction and had initiated cleaning and clearing with special focus given on clearing clogged drainage, green foliage, removal and disposal of accumulated garbage
The social work was supervised by Shelley Katiry, NCS, Additional Deputy Commissioner and Administrator, Tuensang Town Council.
The department were assigned specific localities, stretches and all ward authorities had coordinated and joined the department. The Government employees, students and wards of Tuensang town actively participated in clearing of drainage, garbage and filling of potholes in the town area.
