Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Arikumba has restricted/prohibited all types of vehicles from entering inside the Public Ground with immediate effect.

In the Order, the DC noted that vehicles are frequently found parked and plying inside the Public Ground for unauthorized purposes, including reckless driving and practice driving. This presence poses significant risks to users’ safety, damages fields and facilities and disrupts recreational activities, he stated. Therefore, the Order was issued to maintain a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for playground users.

Only emergency response vehicles, authorized maintenance personnel are exempted.

Any persons found violating the order shall be liable for appropriate penal/legal action, the DC added.
