The 13th Nagaland Police Baptist Church Association Youth Department (NPBCAYD) convention, hosted by the Police Baptist Church Wokha, commenced on October 11. Under the theme “Experiencing God Together,” drawn from Acts 2:42-47, the three-day event was attended by 24 churches from across Nagaland.

Youth Secretary of NPBCA Tsenbemo R. Ngullie, delivered a speech on the first day, centered on the biblical passage James 3:1-12, which discusses the power of the tongue. Ngullie spoke on the tongue’s dual capacity to build or destroy, urging the youth to be mindful of how their words affect others. He linked the theme of the convention, “Experiencing God Together,” to the importance of dedication, discipline, and purity of heart, stressing that our words reflect the condition of our hearts. He further noted that the tongue shapes one’s destiny and influences both the speaker and those around them.

Ngullie posed a thought-provoking question to the attendees, asking whether they use their tongues for both cursing and praising God, reminding them that a true believer cannot do both and still please God.

The convention will continue for the next two days with more speakers and events lined up.One of the key speakers at the convention, Dr. Hukashe Zhimomi, Executive Secretary of BPBCA, is scheduled to address the gathering.
