The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) has issued an ultimatum to the General Manager, PMU-Pfutsero, NHIDCL, to repair the deplorable condition of the Kohima-Jessami road, specifically the Chakhabama-Kikruma stretch under Package-II, within 48 hours.

Stating that for several years the road has been in a hazardous state and posing danger to commuters, “causing significant public suffering and dissatisfaction”, the Union has urged the NHIDCL to take immediate action and address the following within 48 hours:

– Clear Road Blockages: Remove landslides and obstacles hindering vehicle movement.

– Fill Potholes: Repair potholes to ensure smooth travel.

– Provide Drainage: Install adequate drainage systems.

“If these issues remain unaddressed, CSU will take its own measures, holding NHIDCL

fully responsible for consequences,” the Union added.
