The Department of Power, Nagaland, has informed that Vegetation Clearance for 132kV and 66k V Transmission Lines under Transmission Division Mokokchung is scheduled from 21st October 2024 to 16th November 2024.

The areas that will be affected by the exercise falls under Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Longleng and Mon districts.

In this regard, the Department has said that there will be total shutdown of power from 08:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily in order to facilitate smooth execution of the works. This exercise is necessitated with the aim to provide stable power supply and avoid unwarranted disruption of supply, it stated.

The Power Department has appealed to all public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
