Nagaland University Students’ Union – Kohima Campus (NUSU-KC) in collaboration with Office of the Students’ Welfare successfully organized an “Introduction Programme and Membership Drive”. Held on October 16, the venue for the event was the Multipurpose Hall, Nagaland University-Kohima Campus, Meriema, informed a press release by the PRO.
The event was hosted by Ruovikuonuo Chakrüno, Literary and Magazine Secretary of NUSU-KC. Prof. G.T. Thong, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, delivered the opening remark, acknowledging key figures including Dr. Rashmi from the National Service Scheme, Dr. Sentimongla Tzudir from the District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU) under NSACS and her team, Dr. Arenkala Ao, Convenor of the cultural club, Inavili Achumi, NCC Girl Cadet Instructor (GCI), and Ms. Narola Chuba, convenor of the Debate Committee. Thong emphasized the role of extracurricular activities in fostering leadership, teamwork, and life skills, stating that education extends beyond academic learning.

The programme includeed an appraisal of key campus clubs such as the National Service Scheme (NSS), Red Ribbon Club, Cultural Club, National Cadet Corps (NCC), and Debate Club, aimed at inspiring students to join.
The event concluded with a closing remark from NUSU-KC President, Lhuzinyi Rhakho, who emphasized the importance of active student involvement in these clubs.
