NPCC Tour Team visits Mon District, strengthens Congress Party

Mon: Former RPI candidate from 47th AC joins Congress along with all his party workers

The official tour team of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC), led by Shame Angh, Ex-MLA, and Denngan, Retd. Secretary Government of Nagaland, visited Mon District Congress Committee (DCC)on 18th October 2024.

In a press release, the Mon DCC informed that signifying a growing momentum for the party ahead of upcoming political events, several individuals from various political backgrounds formally joined the Congress party during the visit. A formal joining letter was handed over to the NPCC officials at the Mon DCC office, marking a key moment in the day’s proceedings, it informed.

A major highlight of the visit was the joining of Wangka Konyak, former RPI candidate from the 47th Assembly Constituency (AC), along with all his party workers, into the Congress party. The event, held, witnessed the presence of the NPCC tour team, marking a turning point for the Congress in the area. The new members were formally welcomed by the NPCC officials at a programme held at Aboi Town where a joining letter was handed over to commemorate the occasion.

The leaders expressed their appreciation for the new members and assured their full support as they work toward strengthening the party’s presence in Mon district. The DCC further stated that it anticipated more individuals to join the Congress Party in the coming days.
