The Department of Chemistry, Phek Government College (PGC) conducted its first ‘Hands-on Training on Preparation of Hand Sanitizer, Liquid Dish-wash, Natural Shampoo’ at the New Chemistry Laboratory, PGC on 2nd November 2024.

The program commenced with opening prayer by Dr. Levinu Sakhrie, IQAC Co-ordinator, followed by welcome address and inauguration of the training by Dr. T. Tiakaba Jamir, Principal.

The Principal congratulated the Chemistry Department for taking up the initiative to promote science in the district and emphasized on the importance of science subject and the need amongst the students to take-up science for higher studies.

Dr. H. Atoholi Sema, HoD & Assistant Professor, Dept. of Chemistry who also chaired the program, along with three B.Sc. 5th Semester students were the Trainers during the program.

4 teachers, 29 students from Govt. Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Phek, faculties, staff and students of the College were benefited from this training.
