The monthly Longleng District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on 7th November 2024, under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman DPDB, B. Bangtick Phom, at DPDB hall, Longleng. The ADC Tamlu, Lankonsen Tsanglao, SDAO (Agri), Senep Walling and DSO, Kenongoto Thokhwe were introduced as new members to the house.

Welcoming the house, the chairman urged all officers working under Longleng district to be always available at their respective stations and perform their duties sincerely for the welfare of the people. Phom also pointed out that working together as a team from respective departments would elevate the district and move forward towards prosperity.

The following proposals were approved while reviewing the previous meeting minutes. Implementation of CHC criteria at PHC Tamlu, upgradation of Sub-centre Tangha to PHC, Upgradation of EAC Yongnyah to SDO(C) and Creation of EAC post Namching Compound.

Agendas proposed for construction of District DB’s Court at Longleng and Tamlu have been approved. Verification Committee for LADP 2024-2025 has been constituted and approved, and constitution of Nangmah Valley Industrial Estate/Zone Committee Tamlu for wood based Industries under Longleng Forest Division was also approved and forwarded to the concern department.

DC Longleng, W. Manpai Phom has informed the members and requested to attend the celebration of the 25th anniversary of EAC Headquarter Shakshi on 15th November 2024. District Sport Officer (DSO) Longleng, also requested the house to provide resources to help the affiliated sports association in any state level or district level competition and to uplift the District Sports Council Longleng in consideration to any sporting activities for promotion of sports and upgradation of sporting standards in the district.
