A heartfelt farewell ceremony was held on 8th November 2024 at the DC Conference Hall, Zunheboto to bid adieu to Keyirangding Hegui, the outgoing Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of the district. The event was chaired by SDO Civil, Sukhalu Chishi and attended by various officers, dignitaries, and staff members. Keyirangding Hegui’s tenure as ADC in Zunheboto has left a lasting impact on the district, with his leadership and commitment inspiring many. As he moves on to new opportunities, the district bids farewell to a respected leader who will be remembered for his dedication and service.
Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS expressed his deep gratitude, stating, “Today we gather to honour and express our heartfelt gratitude to Keyirangding Hegui, ADC, for his exceptional service, dedication, and integrity during his tenure. As you embark on the next chapter of your journey, we wish you continued success and fulfillment.” the DC said.
Rohbi Sangtam, SDO, praised Hegui’s leadership qualities, emphasizing his intellectual approach to administration and said “Keyirangding Hegui has been a beacon of leadership and commitment. His unique way of solving and handling issues has set a benchmark for us all, and his involvement in various educational programs at schools and colleges, further exemplifies his dedication to the community,” said Sangtam.
Herato Sukhalu, Chairperson of the Zunheboto Town Council (ZTC), spoke about the profound impact Hegui’s leadership had on the district, and said his leadership has not only helped this organization but has also inspired each of us to do our best. You have won the hearts of the people, and your cooperation with the community has been exemplary,” he said.
Keyirangding Hegui then addressed the gathering, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to serve in Zunheboto. “I am blessed to have been here in Zunheboto. I have learned so much from my colleagues and staff, and these experiences have enriched and enlightened me. During my time here, I have also had the privilege of conducting the ULB elections, which gave me the chance to resolve issues and strengthen bonds within the community,” he shared.
He went on to express his appreciation for the friendships he had formed and the hospitality shown by the people of Zunheboto. “While fame may come in life, it is our health and well-being that truly allow us to enjoy life. I am deeply grateful for the support from the churches and the prayers I have received. I urge you all to continue praying for one another,” Hegui added.
The event concluded with a benediction by Khetoho, UDA, who offered his blessings and best wishes for Hegui’s future endeavors. A special presentation ceremony was held where colleagues and dignitaries honored Hegui with tokens of appreciation in recognition of his dedicated service. Earlier, invocation was proposed by Phukuto, LDA.
