Nagaland Coffee House inaugurated at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama

The Nagaland Coffee House was officially inaugurated at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama on 29th November 2024. The event was graced by the Advisor for Land Resources, G. Ikuto Zhimomi, as the special guest. He was accompanied by the Advisor for Youth Resources and Sports, S. Keoshu Yimchunger, and Advisor for Geology & Mining and DUDA, W. Chingang Konyak.

In his inaugural speech, Zhimomi highlighted the cultural and historical significance of coffee houses worldwide, and remarked, “Coffee houses have long been hubs of creativity, innovation, and community building; a place where individuals connect, share ideas, and inspire one another. Historically, coffee houses have even played roles in sparking revolutions around the world.”

On behalf of the department, Zhimomi expressed gratitude to Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio for enabling the relocation of the coffee house to a new, permanent site. He also extended his appreciation to the contractor and his team for completing the project within a short span of time.

The event was chaired by Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Land Resources, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, NCS, who also delivered the welcome address. A brief report on the construction of the Nagaland Coffee House was presented by Director of Land Resources, Albert Ngullie.

Adding a musical touch to the occasion, Vetholü Rhakho performed a special number, while dedicatory prayer was offered by Rev. Mekhale Yhoshü, Senior Pastor of Kigwema Baptist Church, and Additional Director, N. Hekato concluded the program with a vote of thanks.
