The Nagaland Police has informed in a press release today that one person has been identified and arrested from Delhi with regard to the deragatory and defamatory post published in “The Patriotic Nagas”.
A case was registered at Cyber Crime Police Station, PHQ Nagaland regarding a post published in “The Patriotic Nagas” Facebook Page wherein certain objectionable remarks were made against Dr. SC Jamir and the Ao women in general. “During the course of investigation, the person who published the post, has been identified and was arrested from Delhi on 30th November, 2024 by Nagaland Police and brought back to Nagaland and is presently in Judicial Custody,” informed the Nagaland Police.

Further investigation is in progress and collection of forensic evidence/expert opinion is underway. “Nagaland Police would like to reiterate that the case will be brought to a logical conclusion as per the relevant provisions of law. The public is requested to maintain harmony in the interest of Law and Order in the State,” appealed the Nagaland Police.
