The KIKÔ Multibrand Outlet officially opened its doors to the public today in Tongdentsuyong Ward of Mokokchung Town with an inauguration ceremony.

Ajungla L Imsong, Proprietor of KIKÔ shared her store’s vision, emphasizing its focus on providing a wide array of high-quality, affordable apparel to meet the growing fashion needs of the community while promising the latest trends at reasonable prices for all age groups.

Proprietor Ajungla L Imsong shared the inspiration and vision behind the establishment of KIKO Multi-Brand Outlet. She explained that the name “KIKO” is a blend of Japanese and Spanish origins, symbolizing a “joyful child,” “hopeful child,” or “rejoicing child” in Japanese, and “noble home ruler” in Spanish, where it also carries a term of affection. From her perspective, in the Ao dialect, “KI” refers to “home,” while “KO” represents “collections,” thereby defining “KIKO” as “a house full of collections for loved ones.”

Ajungla emphasized the rapidly changing fashion trends in today’s world, which prompted her to bring KIKO Multi-Brand Outlet to the town. She noted the challenges faced by locals when returning home from bigger cities, where the shopping experience differs significantly due to the limited resources in the town. This often leads to online shopping, which comes with its own set of drawbacks, such as issues with size, quality, and delivery.

To address these concerns, she envisioned a physical store that would provide an enjoyable and reliable shopping experience, allowing customers to check the quality and sizes firsthand. Ajungla aims to offer trendy and affordable apparel for all age groups without compromising on quality, ensuring that everyone benefits from the store’s offerings.

Ajungla informed “The KIKÔ Multibrand Outlet offers an extensive collection of 51 renowned brands, including Zara, H&M, DressBerry, Nike, Puma, and Adidas, among others. Additionally, the store provides Cash on Delivery (COD) services within Mokokchung, ensuring a convenient shopping experience for local customers.”

Chuchuyimpang Village Council Chairman (VCC), Zulu Imsong, in his greetings address, emphasized the importance of self-employment and the need for young people to broaden their horizons beyond government jobs. He remarked that while parents invest heavily in their children’s education, many degree holders fail to achieve their goals or mature fully.

“Parents strive to provide the best education for their children, hoping they will secure employment after attaining their degrees. However, many young people remain solely dependent on government jobs, neglecting the vast opportunities available in our state,” Imsong stated. He stressed that the Inability to understand and navigate the process of achieving one’s goals often leads to failure. “Parents and youth alike must learn to identify and pursue their goals systematically,” he added.

Imsong lauded Ajungla, the proprietor, for her vision and initiative in becoming self-reliant. He praised her for being a role model, demonstrating the value of self-employment, and inspiring others to take practical steps toward independence. “We must not just speak of change but act on it,” he urged, encouraging others to transform their ideas into reality.

He concluded by expressing hope that Ajungla’s initiative would inspire positive change and bring success to the community. The ceremony concluded with a ribbon-cutting and benediction led by Rev. W. A. T. Imsong of CBC.

The event was chaired by Lanukokla Senpo, Pastor Mongur Tongdentsuyong Ward pronounced the invocation while Ajungla L Imsong, Proprietor of KIKÔ delivered the welcome address.
