Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, visited Army units stationed at Kumbi and Andro in Manipur on January 13, 2025.

During the visit, the GOC had a comprehensive review of the security situation and operational preparedness, informed a press release by PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.

The GOC also discussed the security challenges and way ahead with the GOC, Red Shield Division, and commanders in the region.

The GOC commended the ranks for their unwavering professionalism, steadfast commitment, and impartial approach in addressing complex internal security challenges. He lauded their dedication and high morale in maintaining peace and security in Manipur. He also emphasized the importance of sustaining the highest standards of operational readiness.
