Water tanker for 8th Western Angami AC urban area dedicated

The 8th Western Angami AC urban area water project dedication program of water tanker under LAPD 2025 was held at Officers’ Hill Colony on February 6 under the theme “Our water, our right.”

Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister of Women Resource Development and Horticulture who graced the occasion as the Special guest handed over the key to Rokobeizo Nyusou, Chairman of the 8 western Urban Panchayat Union (WUPU).

In her short speech, Kruse shared her experiences of visiting the Hospital colony road where she came across people sharing water. When discussed on what needed to be done for this year for the people, the idea of setting up a water tanker came to her mind, which she felt will be of great help to the people specially in the dry season.

While speaking on the Government’s efforts in providing water, she also acknowledged that there are households where water is not easily accessible during dry season. With many facing water shortage, she expressed hope that the water tanker will be helpful. She also highlighted that with the increase of household there is also an increasing need of more water.

Kruse also informed that the WUPU executives will be taking care of the distribution and cautioned them to take care of both the tanker and make sure that every household gets their share. She also advised them to charge minimal fee for maintenance.

The Minister expressed her openness to help anyone in need and to approach her for any assistance. Khrielakuo, WUPU, Advisor, thanked the minister for looking out for the public’s welfare. The program was followed by inauguration of the water tanker and high tea. Rokobeizo Nyusou, WUPU Chairman chaired the program while Pastor Azahto blessed the program.
