On 12 February 2025, a group of 120 students from Hope Academy, Chümoukedima, accompanied by six faculty members, engaged in an educational field trip to the School of Agricultural Sciences, Nagaland University (SAS, NU). During this visit, the students engaged in a comprehensive exploration of various specialized project units and departments, informed a press release from NU.
They had the opportunity to visit the Entomology Insect Museum, Plant Pathology Disease Museum, Library, Educational Museum, the All India Coordinated Research Project on Honeybee Pollinators and STINER-TFC. Faculty members and project in-charge provided comprehensive briefings on the various departments, thereby enhancing the students’ understanding of agricultural sciences.

The trip concluded with a valuable interaction with the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akali Sema and Dean, Prof. L. Daiho, SAS, NU. The visit was coordinated by Dr. Sentirenla Jamir, Asst. Professor, Department of Horticulture, and Dr. Tsarila Z.T. Sangtam, Guest Faculty, Dept. of Livestock Production & Management SAS, NU, Medziphema Campus.
