The Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has written to the Additional Deputy Commissioner Seyochung HQ, Kiphire District requesting for the assi’tance in Aadhaar Enrollment for students of GHS Seyochung Village.

In its appeal, the Union highlighted the challenges faced by the students of Government High School, Seyochung Village, in registering for the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) due to the unavailability of Aadhaar cards. As Aadhaar is a basic requirement for APAAR registration, the lack of Aadhaar enrollment among the majority of students has made the process difficult, stated the Union.

In this regard, it requested the concerned authority to make necessary arrangements or provide assistance in facilitating Aadhaar registration for these students. “Your support in coordinating with the concerned authorities or organizing an Aadhaar enrolment camp at the school would be immensely beneficial for ensuring that no student is left behind due to documentation issues,” stated the SVSU.

The Union also drew attention to the urgent need for a permanent Aadhaar enrollment centre at Seyochung HQ. “The absence of such a facility has caused immense inconvenience to the residents, especially students, in obtaining Aadhaar for academic and other essential purposes. Therefore, we urge the concerned authorities to establish an Aadhaar enrollment centre at the earliest to address this issue effectively,” expressed the Union.

The SVSU further extended Its assistance in any manner necessary to facilitate the establishment of the center and ensure its smooth functioning.
