The VDB Secretary Association RD Block Changpang, under 40 Bhandari A/C has strongly condemned, what it considered, the derogatory remarks made by NFHRCC in their press release.

According to the Association, the statement made by NFHRCC, calling its MLA Achumbemo Kikon, a “mere MLA without a portfolio” reflected “an arrogant and disrespectful attitude that is both unacceptable and unbecoming of a paramount organization such as NFHRCC.”

“Any sensible leader with a rational mind would never make such an ungrateful and reckless statement in public domain. Our democratically elected representative deserves respect, and insulting him is disparaged to the democracy and to his electorates, undermining the people’s voice and their rights. The Association recognizes perceives the motive of the NFHRCC for their concern to ensure and deliver the workmanship of the Foothill Road construction. However, the irresponsible remarks made by the NFHRCC have deeply hurt the sentiments of the electorates of the 40 Bhandari A/C,” stated the Association.

It asserted that the people’s mandate and chosen representative should be treated with utmost respect and sincerity. The Association further expressed, “Achumbemo Kikon is one of the finest and most capable leaders among the Naga legislatures the 40th Bhandari A/C has ever produced. He has tirelessly dedicated his time and efforts to the welfare of the people ever since he was elected, and we cannot tolerate anyone insulting him to their convenience.”

“The Association firmly asserts that any organization that lacks vision or harbours a leader with such a naïve mentality should never be allowed to lead the Nagas but should reflect, analyze, and exercise caution before making any public or official statements,” added the Association.
