International Women’s Day cum 10th years of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was celebrated on March 8, 2025 at DC conference, Noklak under the theme “Accelerate Action”. The event was organised by District Administration, Noklak and Sankalp- District Hub for empowerment of women, Mission Shakti under the initiative of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), Department of Social Welfare.

H Chongti, Women Secretary, KBCA in her theme exposition stressed briefly on gender equality stating that it is not about fighting against men but taking the correct stance. She further said that the day attributes to women uplifting other women.

Nemo C in her testimony shared participating journey in the programs organised by the BBBP such as Make up class training, tailoring and Mushroom Cultivation training to which she said that these are a gateway to opportunity to sustaining livelihood.

As part of the event, Lt. Supou Memorial Award was presented to girls who have excelled in the academic performances as toppers in the district.

Earlier, the program was chaired by Indhe, invocation was pronounced by Muno Chaplin, Police Fellowship, Keynote address was spoken by Themhai from, Noklak, Special presentation was presented by Taang S Holy Angel School, Noklak, and Methiyam, St Paul School, Noklak, and benediction by T. Outside DB, Noklak.
