Highlighting the issues being faced by the student community in Seyochung due to not having Aadhar cards, the Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) has appealed to the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Seyochung HQ to set up a permanent Aadhar Enrollment Centre.

In a representation, the SVSU said that the Union had visited St. Mary High School, Seyochung Town and in Government High School, Seyochung Village, on 17th March 2025, during which it identified that out of the total 493 students, at least 200 students did not possess Aadhar cards in St. Mary High School, Seyochung Town. Meanwhile, at GHS Seyochung Village, at least 24 students out of 30 did not possess Aadhar cards, stated SVSU President Longtili C Sangtam and General Secretary Tsise.

The student body highlighted that the lack of Aadhar cards have hindered the students’ registration in the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (AAPAR) portal, thereby affecting their educational records and benefits.

SVSU stated that establishment of a Aadhar Enrollment Centre at Seyochung Town “would significantly ease the enrollment process and ensure that students and residents have better access to essential documentation.”
