Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society (ULLAS) training for volunteer teachers under the Department of School Education was held at Town Hall Tuensang on 8th April 2025.
Speaking on the training programme, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa thanked all the teachers for their active participation in the training programme. She urged the trainees to make good use of the training program by imparting basic education to the illiterate elders in village.
Rutsa reminded the teachers that they have the additional responsibility to teach school dropout adult as well as the illiterate elderly of the village with some basic education in English. The DC urged the participants to strive to make Tuensang one of the districts with highest literacy rate in the state.
Welcome address was delivered by (AE) DEO Tuensang, A. Mongtsoa while keynote address was shared by State Programme Co-ordinator, ULLAS, I. Toshi Ao. Video screening was shared by Tongjen Shio TOT EBRC Hakushang.
The programme was chaired by Supervisor, Likhumse Sangtam while vote of thanks was delivered by Supervisor DEO, R. Nokrenba Chang. The training was attended by more than 90 Participants from Noksen Block, Chare Block, Longkhim Block, Sangsangnyu Block, Chessore Block and Shamator Block.
