Nagaland’s Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo today inaugurated the new Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Office Complex and the Higher Secondary Block of GHSS, Tening in Peren district. The inaugural programme was held at Town Hall Tening, in Peren district.
Khamo said Tening is in beautiful hills with abundant land and fertile soil, posing huge potential for advancement.
He asked the people to be prepared to embrace development with hardworking, and honest cultures while stressing need for positive mindset with faith and trust in God.
Pointing that the government sector job is already saturated, he said the state government has propagated for competitive examinations through NPSC and NSSB.
In this regard, he emphasized the importance of skill and entrepreneurship which are the way out to address the unemployment issue in the state, where the youth should seize the opportunity, which would be in line with the Viksit Bharat 2047 for a developed India, wherein various interventions are being introduced.
Khamo stated that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio which has kept the state in peace while working on different verticals of development—be it in educational reforms, skill, health sector and professional development for the youth.
Highlighting that Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio is leading from the front towards the development of the state, he called for communities’ participation to ensure Nagaland is developed. He also appealed to the people of the state to support the government through united efforts for unity and peace, which are the way forward.
Khamo also stated that the state-run schools are employing only qualified teachers, and in this regard, he asserted that the community should support the schools and the teachers. He asked the teachers to give their best efforts to educate the students, adding that the state is, in all seriousness, working towards delivering the best services to the people.
The Advisor also stated the state government is working towards a ‘state of excellence,’ which requires collective efforts, support, and active participation. Additionally, Khamo also sought a collective vision and united efforts to bring about the change the people desire.
Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the 6th Tening Assembly Constituency, Namri Nchang, who was the Guest of Honour, said the occasion is an important day for the people of the Tening sub-division as two new facilities were inaugurated.
He emphasised the need to increase enrolment at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Tening adding that the government has posted equally qualified teachers.
Nchang called upon the public and leaders to take ownership of public and government properties. He also emphasised the need for sustainable practices and living in harmony with nature and urged public leaders to convey this to the public.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peren, Hiazu Meru, also delivered a speech, appreciated the Civil Administration Works Division (CAWD) department for the timely completion of the much-needed work in the area. He also called upon the public to take ownership and care for public offices and properties.
For the development of the district, he challenged the officers in the sub-divisions to give efforts for the development of the area to uplift the district through education, health, and economy. He also highlighted the various interventions being carried out by the government.
The technical report was presented by Sungtiba Amer, Assistant Chief Engineer, CAWD, Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland, Kohima.
Earlier, the welcome address was delivered by K Furhesie Nyuwi, ADC Tening, and he appreciated the government for the facilities being provided at the Tening sub-division.
