The Shamator District Football Association (SDFA) has conducted selection trials for the district football team in preparation for the forthcoming prestigious 24th Dr T Ao Trophy 2025 Inter-district Football Championship at local ground on July 8. The selected players will represent Shamator district in the prestigious tournament to be held at Kohima from August 1-15.

Around 40 players registered at Shamator District Football Association to participate in the selection process out of which 25 players were shortlisted. These players will undergo training after which the final squad representing the Shamator district will be finalised.

The selection committee was led by Visapa Yongo, Khelo India football coach, Shamator District; Rikhum, SDFA official and Showubah, SDFA official.
