Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh held at Zunheboto and Noklak

An award programme titled “Sampoornata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh” was held on July 30 at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Zunheboto with MLA, Er Picto Shohe as the special guest. The programme focused on the Akuhaito Aspirational Block, aimed to recognize and encourage the contributions of frontline workers and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the Aspirational Block initiative.

Shohe in his address, acknowledged that while some progress has been made, the Akuhaito Aspirational Block has not recorded any significant achievements since the launching of the programme in 2023. Now entering its third year, the block continues to face basic infrastructure challenges, including the absence of bus services and poor road conditions.

The Atoizu Block, categorized as backward, comprises 16 villages and four towns. The block ranked at 8th amongst 500 blocks in India.

Deputy Commissioner of Zunheboto, Dharam Raj, IAS, who delivered the keynote address, emphasized that the goal of the programme is to support, empower and to felicitate the frontline workers and SHGs and also to promote the overall development of the block envisioning it as a model not only for Nagaland but globally.

As part of the Sampoornata Abhiyan several block officials and frontline workers were felicitated. These included District Soil Conservation Officer, Junito K Zhimomi, CDPO, Nikuto Chishi, CDPO, Dr Gihuka V Chishi, Medical Officer, Gokheli, Block Programme Manager of NSRLM, Mugholi Jakhalu, Community Health Officer, Lokobomi, Tolika Z  Katty, Anganwadi worker, Nishili, Anganwadi worker, Naghuto village, Avini Yeptho SHG from Vekuho New Village.

The programme was chaired by District Programme Manager (DPM) of the National Health Mission (NHM) Rosemary. The welcome address was delivered by Extra Assistant Commissioner and Nodal Officer for the Akuhaito Aspirational Block, Dr. Samuel Akho Konyak P.

Special performances by Mughato Achumi and Gloria Phuleshe brought a vibrant touch to the event. A PowerPoint presentation was delivered by Kivikali, Aspirational Block Fellow, highlighting the events conducted under Akuhaito Aspirational Block.

Vote of thanks was delivered by Heipeuding Ilunglung, Block Development Officer, Akuhaito. The event concluded with the inauguration of stalls set up by various SHGs and government departments showcasing local products and development initiatives under the Aspirational Block programme.

 

Noklak:

A District Level Program on Sampooranata Abhiyan Samman Samaroh organized by District Administration, Noklak under Aspirational Block Program (ABP) was held on July 30 at the Tourist Lodge, Noklak.

Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, P Mono Khiamniungan, expressed his sincere appreciation to all the officers and frontline workers for enabling the block to have a successful campaign. Noting that behind every success story, there are people working tirelessly beyond the call of duty.

The DC mentioned that, it is not due to it being an exceptional scheme that has lifted the Block to a higher level, rather the milestone achievement is largely due to the collective efforts put in by the people concerned, citing Thonoknyu block as an inspiration.

Sub-Divisional Officer (C), Noklak, Vikhoto Richa highlighted the overview of the Sampoornata Abhiyan campaign, which was conducted between July and September 2024. As part of the campaign, the block reportedly achieved 100% saturation in five out of six key performance indicators. The SDO lauded the achievement to effective coordination among departments, dedicated field workers, and strong community involvement. Richa stated that this steady progress was the result of consistent efforts across key sectors such as health, education, agriculture, financial inclusion and basic infrastructure.

He also briefed on the targeted activities which were undertaken to achieve saturation in core development indicators focusing on implementation and active role played by officials and frontline workers.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Noklak, Dr. Victor shared a success story of campaign stating it as an achievement which was the result of a coordinated and intensive household-level intervention. He shared on house-to-house survey that was conducted covering all eligible and married couples. Pregnancy tests were administered to all eligible women, these tests  played a critical role in bringing the indicator coverage to 100%, he said. He further informed that the household survey and community outreach activities were conducted by health workers.

Dr. Victor emphasized that the house-to-house survey not only ensured saturation but also helped collect vital data to guide future health interventions in the block. As part of the tuberculosis (TB) elimination efforts, Dr. Victor stated that the health department is identifying suspected cases and collecting sputum samples for diagnosis. He emphasized the importance of early detection and timely treatment to prevent the spread of the disease. He expressed gratitude the entire team of frontline workers for their dedicated efforts in carrying out the campaign.

As part of the achievement under the Aspirational Block Program (ABP), block level officials and frontline workers were felicitated for their dedication and hard work in lifting the block to a higher rank. Earlier, the program was chaired by EAC Hq Noklak, Apuloka H Sumi.
