The Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE) held its 14th Induction Program for the new batch of freshers on August 19, 2025. Delivering the exhortation, Dr. K Rijingkhum Yimchunger, Assistant Professor, urged the students to work together, support one another, and explore their full potential without holding back.
The welcome address was delivered by Neimou on behalf of the 3rd semester student-teachers, where she highlighted the importance of collaborative learning and extended best wishes to the freshers. This was followed by an introductory session in which the newcomers introduced themselves.
Speaking on behalf of the 1st semester student-teachers, Lentilong Jamir expressed gratitude to God, thanked the faculty and seniors for the warm welcome, and shared his excitement at becoming part of the MCTE family. The first session concluded with a thanksgiving prayer by P. Tumong Khiamniungan, after which the 3rd semester student-teachers entertained the gathering with performances in the second session.
The program was chaired by Sayangpong Pongen and began with an invocation by Yashimongla.
